“Trick”, produced and directed by Jafar Sadeghi, is a product of the Soreh Documentary Center with a focus on the broader Tehran area. It tells the story of the founding of the “Andisheh” wrestling club in the village of Seydabad, offering a unique perspective on young individuals who, through effort and determination, transformed the cultural and social environment of the region, creating a path away from social harms, particularly addiction.
This documentary, which has been highly praised by numerous critics, had previously won the Crystal Simorgh for Best Documentary Feature at the 43rd Fajr Film Festival and the Special Award of the Documentary Network at the 18th Cinema Verite Festival.
