According to the public relations of the Soureh Cinematic Organization, the feature films “West Sky” directed by Mohammad Asgari and “Kianoush’s Garden” directed by Reza Keshavarz Haddad, along with the short films “Tomorrow is not like today” directed by Seyyed Mehdi Karbasi, produced by the Soureh Young Film Center, and “Stateless” directed by Seyed Mohammad Hossein Hosseini, produced by the Soureh Film Club, have been selected for the competition section of the Golden Knight Film Festival in Russia.
The 35th Golden Knight International Film Festival, one of Russia’s most prestigious cultural events, will take place from May 22 to 29, 2025 (June 1 to 8, 1404 in the Persian calendar) in Sevastopol, Russia, with the participation of prominent filmmakers and artists from various countries.
Known for its slogan “For Ethics, Spirituality, and Human Values,” the festival provides an opportunity to showcase films with ethical, social, and spiritual themes, presented in a healthy and independent cultural space. Founded in 1992, the Golden Knight Festival has hosted hundreds of films by distinguished filmmakers from around the world.
In this year’s edition, films in various formats, including feature films, documentaries, animations, and short films from different countries, will be screened, with an international panel of judges responsible for evaluating the works.
One of the festival’s distinctive features is its focus on human values, justice, truth, and human dignity in artistic works—an approach that sets it apart from other film festivals.
The final winners will be announced at the festival’s closing ceremony and honored with the “Golden Knight” award.
The international distribution of these films is managed by the Soureh International Center.
