The animated film “Yooz”, directed by Reza Arzhangi and produced by Ehsan Kaveh, after a remarkable success at the Iranian box office, begins its international screening journey in Canada.
This animated film, a joint production of the Soureh Animation Center and Vistamedia, will be screened on Sunday, November 2nd (11 Aban) at 4 PM at the York Cinema in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada.
This adventurous film, which depicts the exciting and fantasy-filled journey of a cheetah from the heart of America to Iran, has attracted nearly half a million viewers and earned over 30 billion Toman in sales, making it one of the highest-grossing films of the year in Iranian cinema.
In recent weeks, “Yooz” has surpassed comedy and social films, topping the cinema sales charts. On Children’s Day, it set the record for the highest-grossing day in Iranian cinema history for a children’s film.
The film’s screening in Canada marks a new step for the presence of Iranian animated productions in international releases, and with the support of the Soureh International Center, it is set to continue in other cities across Canada.
